Trauma

Trauma affects us all. We may have been victims of crime, in a car accident, bush fire, been through a divorce, experienced sexual abuse, family violence, experienced a toxic work environment, had a devastating health diagnosis of oneself or a loved one, or are living the mental health roller coaster.

Our life story may be filled with childhood trauma and abuse which effects who we are today. Our past experiences can rob us of self esteem and confidence.

It’s not about what’s wrong but what’s happened!

Life Issues

Loneliness is one of society’s biggest issues. There are many people who find themselves separated from family and friends, or just don’t feel connected like they’d like to be. Social media is not a substitute for friendship.

The cost of living rising every year, expensive housing in the ACT, and pressure to always be busy, and happy are the backdrop to our lives.

No wonder our psychological, physical, emotional and spiritual health and wellbeing can take a back seat. Add to this the uncertain world of a pandemic and we’re all wobbly. Feelings are our bodies warning system.

Sharing is both cathartic and healing.

Family Therapy

We all grow up in a family of some kind, some nurturing and supporting us to grow into healthy adults, others not so nurturing. Overcoming a challenging family background where your needs weren’t met can take some time and often needs therapy.

All families experience conflict at different times. Sometimes some of the above life issues change the family patterns and things get stuck. Most family members love each other and want the best for their family.

Another pair of eyes can help untangle families.
